Bio
Alison Buck studies the reproduction of racial and gender inequality across a variety of settings, from organizations of work to college classrooms. She has taught courses focusing on gender, social psychology, work and organizations, and research methods and has published several pieces about teaching. Her most recent publication uses Equal Employment Opportunity Commission data to examine how the proportion of women in a workplace predicts the access women will have to management positions. Her dissertation focused on gender and identity in the digital games industry, for which she received her Ph.D. from NC State University in 2017.
